Bertus Pietersz (New Hampshire / Netherlands, 1869 - 1938) Oil on canvas painting of a bucolic landscape with cows drinking near a stream. Size: 20 x 16 inches. He studied in Rotterdam and was a pupil of Henry Ward Ranger (1858-1916). Memberships include the American Federation of the Arts; the American Artists Professional League; and the Springfield Art League. Pietersz exhibited at the Jordan Marsh Art Gallery and his work is represented in the collections of the Whistler House Museum of Art in Lowell, MA; the Springfield Museum of Art; the George Walter Vincent Smith Museum in Springfield, MA; and the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, GA.
